Welcome back to school! The beginning of the school year is a great time to get to know your teachers and classmates. We are going to introduce ourselves to our new friends by writing an autobiography. An autobiography is a type of non-fiction text. An autobiography gives true facts about the author's life. Autobiographies are different from biographies because the authors write about themselves, whereas in biographies, the authors write about the lives of other people.
In order to write your autobiography, you will have to do some research! You will be digging into your background knowledge, interviewing your parents for more information, and bringing in family photos to incorporate into your autobiography. We will share our finished products so that your classmates can hear your life's story thus far!
